“glass meets architecture”

At the second event in the “glass meets architecture” series at the Saxon glass works Thiele Glas in Wermsdorf, engineer Sebastian Rücker, glasfaktor's managing director, informed the 35 architects and planners involved about the latest glass specifications standard, DIN 18008. Among other things, other presentations at this educational event focused on functional glass coatings and the use of structural glazing in façade construction. The final event and the highlight of the day was a tour of the glass works.
